The leadership of the marching band will be getting together on Thursday at 10:00 to copy and mail out most of the 2009 music. Start looking for your music early next week.

2009 Football Schedule

This is what is believed to be the 2009 Football schedule.  If anything changes it will be posted.  As of right now we are not certain about what, if any, away football games the band will be going to.

Drum Major Auditions

The Drum Major Auditions have been postponed until the week after Spring Break.  The review sessions will be on Wednesday and Thursday and the audition will be on Friday.

Kings Dominion Informaiton

Here is all of the information for the Kings Dominion Day Trip:

When: Saturday, April 18, 2009

Where: Kings Dominion, Doswell, VA

Cost: $34.99 each

Anyone interested in going to Kings Dominion is allowed to go.  This includes family and friends.  Everyone will need to provide their own transportation to and from the park.  Mr. Singleton will check in on students and take care of any problems but he will not be responsible for them.  This is not considered an official MCPS field trip so he can not be responsible for any students.  There will be several parents going so students will be able to get rides, all they need to do is ask.

We are getting a group rate as long as 15 or more people go.  The groups rate is $34.99.  The cost is normally $54.99.  There will also be a parking fee for vehicles.

Everyone will need to meet at Kings Dominion in front of the  ticket area at 10:00 am.  You will pay for you tickets there and get the group price as long as you enter at the same time as the group.  In other words DON"T BE LATE or it could cost you $20.00.

The park is open from 10:30am - 8:00pm.  You are allowed to leave at any time if you want.

If it looks like it is going to rain, make sure you look at the band web site by 7:30 am.  Mr. Singleton will post if the trip is canceled.  

Please let Mr. Singleton know is you are going so that he can make sure that there are enough people to get the group discount.

It is time to sign up for marching band again!

It is hard to believe that it is already time to start getting ready for next year.  Anyone who is interested in signing up for marching band next year can get the forms in the band room.  Leadership applications are also available for those who are interested.

Basketball Playoff Dates

Here are the basketball playoff dates for those who are interested.

Feb. 27 Round 1 (Seneca Valley may not have to play this game)
Mar. 2 Round 2
Mar. 4 Regional Semi-Finals
Mar. 6 Regional Finals
Mar. 12  State Semi-Finals
Mar. 14  State Finals

The State games are played at the Comcast Center at the University of Maryland.  All other games are played at Seneca Valley.
